The production decision
The question is not which is bigger. It is which job you are doing.
Compare the documents you need to author and the people who need access. Connected writing and planning tools can help a production team. CallSheet concentrates on the shoot-day document, its private recipient pages and a producer-reviewed revision workflow.
Working sequence
From plan to current crew handoff.
Decide the scope
If a department lives in the software all week, a suite fits. If the call sheet is the deliverable, a focused tool is less to carry.
Build where you actually are
Native CallSheet drafting works on iPhone, iPad and Mac before sign-in. Existing account holders can also use the browser workspace; it requires a connection.
Send and watch it land
Every recipient gets a private link and the current PDF, and you see who opened and who confirmed.
Truth boundary
What CallSheet does, and what stays a production judgment.
StudioBinder feature descriptions checked September 12, 2026; consult its current plans for prices and limits. CallSheet does not author script breakdowns or storyboards, and shot lists are unavailable in the current native apps. Finished files can be published on the crew page within attachment limits. Pro Wrap Sheet sends a thank-you, job code and invoice instructions: native apps can select multiple shoot days, while the browser uses the current sheet. This is a closing message, not payroll or invoice processing.

Questions about CallSheet vs. StudioBinder.
Is CallSheet a StudioBinder replacement?
For call-sheet creation and distribution, it may fit. It does not replace script breakdown or storyboard tools, and the current native apps do not offer shot-list authoring. You can publish finished reference files on the private recipient page, within attachment limits.
Which one works better on set?
Native CallSheet drafts, local crew tools, preview and PDF export work offline on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Address and weather lookups, new map imagery, account operations and publishing require a connection. Test the workflow you need at your location.
Do recipients need an account either way?
With CallSheet, no. Each person gets a private web link and the current PDF, and confirms on the link itself. Nothing to install.
What does CallSheet cost?
CallSheet Pro is $7.99 monthly or $59.99 annually in the US App Store. Eligible new subscribers can try Pro free for seven days. Native drafting and branded PDF export are free; Pro removes the Made with CallSheet line and adds sending. Check the App Store offer for eligibility, regional price and renewal terms.
